Secret ingredients are the best ingredients. The secret ingredient for this latte is the use of Vanilla Syrup, which makes it taste like it's from a chic café instead of your kitchen. Perfectly pairs with gingersnaps and your cutest mug or tea set.
VANILLA JASMINE GREEN TEA LATTE:
Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 1
Ingredients:
1 tea bag of Jasmine Green Tea (despite the Twinings in the photo, I normally use Numi)
12 oz water
1/3 cup milk
1.5 tbsp Vanilla Syrup (found in the coffee and tea aisle)
(Optional) Shot of Espresso
Directions:
1.) Boil the water.
2.) While the water is boiling, froth your milk. This can be done by warming up your milk to 140-150 degrees F and then whisking back and forth, or shaking the milk in a mason jar.
3.) Once the water is hot enough, steep the tea bag for around 4-5 minutes, or your preferred amount of time. This is when you should make your espresso shot if using.
4.) Once the tea has been steeped, add in the vanilla syrup. I generally use 1.5 tbsp, but use to taste. Add in the espresso if using.
5.) Gently add the milk.
6.) Mix it all together and enjoy!
